The NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF REALTORS has affiliated Institutes, Societies, Councils and certification programs. Designations are awarded upon completion of required courses among other requirements. Accredited Buyers Representative
The ABR designation is the Benchmark of excellence in buyer representation. This designation is awarded by the Real Estate BUYER’S AGENT Council, REBAC, an affiliate of the NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF REALTORS®, to real estate practitioners who meet the specified educational and practical experience criteria. Only 4% of REALTORS® have earned this Designation.
Certified Residential Specialist
The CRS is the highest Designation awarded in the residential sales field. The CRS Designation recognizes professional accomplishments in both experience and education. Only 3% of REALTORS® are Certified Residential Specialists and have advanced training, experience, and commitment to call themselves a Certified Residential Specialist. Every CRS Designee must have a proven track record in the business, as well as advanced education in related areas like finance, marketing, and technology. CRS Designees have access to one of the best Networking systems in the country. Advanced training, experience and nationwide access to a network of resources make a CRS the preferred choice in residential real estate sales.

GRI designees are nationally recognized as being top performers in the Real Estate Industry, professionally trained, knowledgeable and dedicated to provide quality service. This program was developed for members of the NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF REALTORS® and its symbol is the mark of a real estate professional who has made a commitment to providing a superior level of professional services by earning the GRI Designation.
Certified Distressed Property Expert
The CDPE Designation from the CDPE Institute recognizes education and proficiency with Short Sales. CDPE’s are trained in negotiating with banks and all the accompanying issues that are part of selling properties where a mortgage is more than the equity in the property. Negotiating skills, knowledge of procedures and perseverance are key to culminating short sales.
